Workshop training and facilitation, delivered through a different lens

I don't train your trainers. I deliver your training — for your team, in a format that keeps the learning window open for every person in the room.

THE PROBLEM

Most professional development is delivered using formats that were built around a neurotypical, non-traumatised, socially confident default.

Icebreakers. Group performances. End-of-day surveys. Vox pops for LinkedIn.

For a meaningful portion of every room — neurodivergent participants (ADHD, autism, AuDHD, RSD), those with anxiety, and those carrying trauma backgrounds — these moments close the learning window before the first slide.

And the feedback data doesn't show it, because it can't.

The 10/10 is rarely a compliment. Sometimes it's a locked door with a polite note underneath.

WHAT I OFFER

I deliver your training through a framework I have spent years developing — built on clinical experience, frontline practice, and honest reflection about what traditional training design actually costs the participants who need it most.

You bring the topic your organisation needs. Psychological safety. Trauma-informed practice. Therapeutic casework. Reflective practice. Emotional intelligence. Self-care. Managing dual relationships in small communities. Whatever matters to your workforce right now.

I bring the framework. The redesign principles that keep the learning window open for every person in the room.

Your team gets the content. Delivered with depth and practical application — not a stripped-back version of what came before.

This is not training-the-trainer. It is delivery.

WHO IT’S FOR

I work with organisations where the workforce includes a meaningful proportion of people with trauma backgrounds, lived experience, neurodivergent profiles, or anxiety.

Particularly:

  • Community services and NGOS

  • Mental health and disability services

  • Child protection and family services

  • Government and public sector teams

  • Any frontline workforce where the people delivering the work are also carrying the weight of it

This is especially relevant to organisations that run training on psychological safety, trauma-informed practice, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution — because the format of the delivery should embody the message of the content.

WHY IT MATTERS FOR YOUR ORGANISATION

When training design consistently closes the learning window for a portion of the workforce, the investment in professional development doesn't deliver the return it should.

The costs compound quietly:

  • Participants: chronic masking, burnout, exhaustion, reduced engagement

  • Teams: reduced psychological safety, lower information sharing, lower performance

  • Facilitators: practice built on data that has been systematically filtered through fear

  • Organisations: higher turnover, erosion of trust, and the gap between stated values and lived experience widening over time

None of this requires bad intentions to perpetuate. It requires inertia, a feedback system that can't see what it's missing, and a professional development culture that has come to reward performance rather than practice.

What I offer interrupts that pattern.

  • "His professional expertise, integrity, and collaborative spirit...are a testament to his commitment to leaving no one behind"

    Veronica MacDonald CEO Lifeline

  • "Adrians professional approach was exceptional; his engagement of staff was outstanding and his skills and abilities in clinical work continuously provided positive outcomes."

Brian Tranter Regional Program Manager Homelessness Services

WHAT YOU GET FROM THE DAY

When I deliver your training, your team gets:

The content. Whatever topic your organisation has identified, delivered with clinical depth, practical application, and a structure designed for retention — not just for the moment, but a month later.

A different experience of learning. Your team will leave the day not only with the content, but with an embodied sense of what learning feels like when the door stays open.

An honest conversation about what matters. Most facilitators don't ask the uncomfortable questions. I do — because I have learned that the questions that feel uncomfortable to ask are often the ones that need to be asked.

DELIVERY FORMAT

Half-day sessions are the most common. They allow depth without the saturation that comes with a full day of traditional format.

Full-day sessions are available where the topic warrants them — with the framework applied to how the day is structured.

Modular and ongoing arrangements are available where an organisation wants sustained engagement over time. This can include:

  • Repeated topic delivery across teams

  • Adjacent workshops built on the same framework

  • Embedded reflective practice and clinical supervision for facilitators within your organisation — structured reflective practice delivered alongside the training program to support ongoing development

In-person: Sydney and surrounds

Online: Across Australia

Hybrid: Where appropriate

TOPICS I DELIVER

I am not limited to a fixed catalogue. If your organisation needs it, we talk about it, and I shape it for you.

Common topics include:

  • What trauma-informed practice actually involves

  • Psychological safety

  • Building reflective and reflexive practices

  • Therapeutic casework principles and integration

  • Working with men

  • Emotional intelligence, self-care, self-regulation and co-regulation

  • Working with complexity, risk, boundaries, and dual relationships in community

If your topic isn't on that list, that's not a problem. The framework is what I bring. The topic is what you bring. Together they make the training.

HOW TO GET STARTED

Three questions to consider before you reach out:

  1. When was the last time you asked your team members how training is impacting them in a negative way? Not "was the day useful." The real version.

  2. When was the last time you asked how much is actually retained — a month later, six months later?

  3. When was the last time your evaluation data told you something you didn't already believe?

If those questions land uncomfortably, that is the data.

The next step is a 20-minute conversation. No pitch deck. No commitment. Just a chance to hear what your team needs and whether what I offer is the right fit.
